being led

"He went out, not knowing where he was going" Hebrews 11:8
"Living a life of faith means never knowing where you are being led. But it does mean loving and knowing the One who is leading. It is literally a life of faith, not of understanding and reason— a life of knowing Him who calls us to go." -Oswald Chambers

  1. I am learning this and want this...but it is hard to let go.

  2. This goes along with the message from yesterday morning. A guest speaker (whose name escapes me) talked about taking initiative in our faith-- just moving forward instead of always waiting to see a clear and direct path.

  3. So, what have you concluded about the nature of size? Does it matter?

  4. This quote goes along with the message I heard yesterday, as well...all the way in Mississippi.

I like how Chambers included "reason" along with "understanding." Not only is this life not about us knowing the answers, but even our thought processes, themselves, aren't of paramount importance.

And, btw, I hope Christian's comment about size has something to do with clothing (in which case, you don't buy clothes that are too big unless you be a gangsta) or furniture (in which case, scale is very important for the overall aesthetic quality of a room).
