Ricky Gervais talked about ideas in his interview with James Lipton on Inside the Actors Studio. Ricky quoted Woody Allen as saying, "the best an idea gets is when it's in your head, then it's how much you ruin it" and Ricky explained to "ruin" means the disconnect from an idea's perfect conception to our fallen expression. now none of those words are exact quotes of Gervais or Allen, they are my feeble attempts to convey their message.
